Teenagers in court for allegedly torching 18 train carriages─── 09:18 Thu, 12 Dec 2019

Two teenagers have appeared in court following their arrest for arson in the Western Cape.
The boys, aged 14 and 15, were arrested on Monday for allegedly torching 18 train carriages at Cape Town station in November.
Last week, Prasa offered a R100 000 reward to anyone who could assist the police in arresting the suspects behind the arson attack.
CCTV footage of the suspects was circulated to the media which led to a community member recognising one of the suspects.
The person alerted police, who subsequently arrested the 14-year-old in Elsies River.
Police say further investigations led them to the other 15-year-old suspect who was arrested in Delft.
Both appeared in a court in Cape Town on Wednesday where they were remanded in juvenile custody.
The two teenagers will be back in court on the 9th of January 2020.
