It has been more than a week since Lesego Mamello Motaung (22) was last seen by her family in Bloemfontein.

Free State Police spokesperson Thabo Covane said a case of kidnapping has been opened at the Park Road Police Station following Motaung’s disappearance. She was last seen by her aunt when she left her home in Uitsig on her way to work at a food chain restaurant in Zastron Street, Westdene.

A colleague has since alleged she reported sick with ulcers on Monday 30 October when she was last seen.

“Any member of the public who might help the police to locate Lesego Mamello Motaung is requested to contact Captain Yaliwe Mokoena at 082 5262 653.”

Alternatively, the information can be submitted on the MySAPS App or call the Crime Stop number 0860 10111.

In August, an 18-year-old girl from the Sand du Plessis High School in Bloemfontein went missing for nearly four weeks. Sade Capricorn returned to her grandmother’s house after she went to Johannesburg “to clear her head”.
