MaP Water receives generators during electricity crisis─── 08:59 Thu, 15 Sep 2022

The water department of the Maluti-a-Phofung (MaP) municipality in the Free State has been gifted with generators from anonymous donors to aid with electricity supply to their pump stations.
MaP Water spokesperson, Kelopiloe Mongake, says the donors raised concern over the prolonged electricity crisis which will affect water supply if there is no back-up plan in place.
She says that while the municipality battles to restore electricity, it is a relief that not all essential services will be affected.
“We are able to supply the communities of Harrismith and Intabazwe with water during this electricity crisis that we are currently facing. We would like to thank the donors, who would like to remain anonymous, for the support they have shown to the municipality.”
