More than 1 500 residents of Thaba Nchu and surrounds are set to benefit from the reopening of the Seadimo Clinic in this Eastern Free State town.
The spokesperson for the Free State Department of Health, Mondli Mvambi, told OFM News in an interview that the clinic closed over a year ago for complete refurbishment.
“We are opening the rural-based Seadimo Clinic as a commitment that was made by the Free State MEC for Health, Montseng Tsiu, during her budget speech in March.”
The clinic opened to the public on Tuesday 23 August 2022.

Mvambi added that the department commits to rendering outstanding services to the community who will be using this clinic, taking into consideration that the demand for services is high.
He further explained that the clinic has quality infrastructure.
“This clinic is serving a population of about 1 524 people, who would otherwise have no other health facility to service their critical healthcare needs. This is a public facility, where people do not pay but get quality healthcare services.”
The clinic will offer eye care, dental care, cervical cancer screening, and mental health screening, amongst other services provided by Primary Health Care.
