Free State border post inspection ahead of presidential #imbizo─── 07:25 Thu, 07 Apr 2022
The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Responsible for State Security, Zizi Kodwa, is conducting an impromptu inspection of the Maseru Bridge Port of Entry on Thursday.
This visit coincides with the planned Presidential Oversight Visit and Imbizo in the Mangaung District which takes place this weekend.
According to a statement issued on behalf of Kodwa's office, the Maseru Bridge port of entry is the second busiest port of entry in the country - which is mainly used by nationals travelling between South Africa and Lesotho for both business and private purposes.
The Deputy Minister will interact with various government officials stationed at the Port of Entry from State Security, Home Affairs, SAPS, Port Health and SARS.
The Deputy Minister will also inspect the state of the infrastructure and operations, including the challenges and interventions needed to strengthen operations at the Port of Entry.
