Education department failed our school: Matla SGB─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 12:35 Sat, 26 Feb 2022
Matla Primary's School Governing Body (SGB) feels the Free State Education Department has failed the school.
OFM News previously reported that disgruntled parents in Phase 6, Bloemfontein, in the Free State took to the streets on Friday morning, to raise concerns pertaining to the school.
SGB Chairperson, Mohlabi Neo, expressed her dissatisfaction at the FS Education officials.
She said that she was not happy following the meeting they held with these officials.
"Since January, we have been having meetings with them; teachers have been complaining to the district; the principal has been complaining to the district. Now that we have closed the gate and told the children not to come to school, now the department wants to come to us to hear our problems. I am not satisfied," she said.
OFM News also reported that parents of Matla Primary learners have raised concerns about the future of their children because the school is understaffed, lacks resources, and activities that will keep learners busy, among other issues.
