NW man arrested in connection with two murders, house robbery─── 12:37 Sun, 19 Jan 2020
Police in the North West have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with two murders and a house robbery in Lesethlaneng.
It is alleged that the suspect committed the crimes on Saturday, 11 January 2020, at around 14:00 in the afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Adele Myburgh, says police and emergency medical services were summoned to the residence where the bodies of a 68-year-old woman and her 34-year-old daughter were discovered. Both victims were declared dead at the scene by Emergency Medical and Rescue Services.
Myburgh says items such as a plasma television, DVD Player and the victims’ cell phones were missing.
The suspect will appear before the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 January, on charges of murder and house robbery.
