Allergy sufferers take note: this week’s Pollen Report from the University of Cape Town Lung Institute shows that in Bloemfontein, high to very high grass levels have been detected. Low tree levels included olive, buddleja and cypress. Weed levels are low and include the daisy family and goosefoot. Mould levels are also low overall but high levels of the allergenic mould Alternaria have been detected.
In Kimberley, moderate to high levels of grasses have been detected. Tree pollen levels are low and consist of olive, cypress and rhus. Weeds include low levels for goosefoot and ragweed. Mould levels are also low overall but high levels of the allergenic mould Alternaria have been detected.
