Alison Botha from Port Elizabeth was raped and stabbed 37 times and left for dead by her attackers, and 20 years after her ordeal, they are up for parole.
On 18 December 1994, shortly after midnight she arrived home in Port Elizabeth, when Frans du Toit confronted her, wielding a knife.
He and Theuns Kruger then took her car and drove off with her, and committed the heinous crime. Their first application for parole after serving 17 years of their life sentence was unsuccessful but they plan on applying again.
