Pacofs CEO says third forces want to cause downfall of the theatre─── THANDI XABA 07:17 Wed, 22 Jul 2015
Bloemfontein - The Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (Pacofs) says outsiders are using unions like Nehawu to cause the downfall of the theatre.
CEO Teboho Macholo says this is evidenced by the fraud and corruption allegations made against him.
Pacofs served over 70 Nehawu members, who are employed at the theatre, with a court interdict last Friday, after they interrupted two live productions during the Free State Arts Festival, including children’s play Liewe Heksie.
Meanwhile Nehawu chairperson Sello Rampaku was not available to comment on the interdict, which remains in place until July 23. The order stipulates the workers are not allowed to disrupt any of the productions or intimidate theatre goers who attend any shows at Pacofs, though they are allowed to clock in for work.
