Kuruman road problems continue | News Article

Kuruman - Construction of one section of a road in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District in Kuruman is going ahead amidst fighting between community leaders and contractors Tau Pele and Down Touch Investments.

The road leading to Dithakong and Heiso is currently under construction, while construction on the other side of the road, leading to Lexie, has come to a halt.
Kagisho Gaborokwe, spokesperson of the Joe Morolong Road Forum, says yet another meeting is scheduled for early next week between community leaders and the contractors, to iron out their differences.

Community leaders want members of the community to be employed for the construction of the road, which led to schools in the area being closed for over three months due to violent protests.
