Bothaville - The mayor of the Nala Municipality, Theko Mogoje, was today released on a warning after his arrest for public violence, arson and malicious damage to property in Bothaville.

The twelve other suspects arrested alongside him, were released on bail of R1000 each and will again appear in court on November 10.

According to Free State police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng, a further nine suspects, mainly EFF members, were released on bail of R500 each, while two were released on a warning.
 
The two’s conditions of release stipulates that they must not participate in any illegal gathering, report themselves to the nearest police station three times a week and they must not speak or be in touch with the state witnesses.
