Soweto - News of Mandoza’s death has been confirmed on social media by SABC News digital producer, Sthembiso Sithole.
Journalist Lopang Alamu reports that Mandoza's wife confirmed in an exclusive interview with the SABC that her husband had a brain tumor and was partially blind.
Mandoza last performed last weekend at the SABC Thank you concert at Orlando Stadium.
Mduduzi Tshabalala was 38 years old.
