Magashule announces his cabinet─── 14:51 Thu, 29 May 2014

Welkom - Free State Premier Ace Magashule announced his cabinet a short while ago at the Welkom Indoor Sports Centre, with only two new MEC's, while seven from his previous cabinet were retained.
Mathabo Leeto - former Lejweleputswa Municipality Mayor replaces Dan KgothuleArts as MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, while Sam Mashinini replaced former Public Works MEC Sisi Mabe who’s now the speaker of the legislature .
Dr Benny Malakoane was retained as MEC for Health; Olly Mlamleli will continue her work as the MEC – CoGTA and Human Settlements.
Mamiki Qabathe will once again deal with all agricultural related matters as the MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development; Butana Komphela remain the MEC for Police, Roads and Transport.
Tate Makgoe will have another opportunity to continue his good work as the MEC for Education, a department which helped the province top the 2013 Matric Results.
Mosebenzi Zwane will have his work cut out as he remains the MEC responsible for Economic, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, with Small Business Development added to his portfolio.
Elzabe Rockman will be in charge of the provinces finances as the MEC for Treasury and Sisi Ntombela retains her position as MEC for Social Development.
