Born and raised in Potchefstroom James Kilbourn developed his passion for broadcasting while studying at the North West University. James joined Radio PUK (now PUK FM) as a presenter and also served as Station Manager for a two year period. His involvement helped secure the station’s first FM licence for the radio station in 1997.
After obtaining his qualification in Mass Communication he joined Radio Safari in 1999. The travel bug soon bit and saw him jetting off to London and exploring Europe as often as he could before finally returning to South Africa in 2001. The following year he joined OFM and has since hosted a variety of shows.
While James’ love for the industry grows daily so too do his passion for music and travel. He is also well-known in Bloemfontein and surrounds for his award-winning coffee, which can be sampled at Stereo Café.
Catch James on The Real Good Weekend featuring OFM Decades, Saturdays, 16:00 – 20:00.
