Laurika du Preez, born in Bloemfontein on 22 December 1991, embodies the vibrant spirit of the entertainment industry. Affectionately known as “Babbelbekkie” since childhood due to her lively and talkative nature, Laurika's journey into the world of media and entertainment seemed to be written in the stars.

Her love for storytelling and public speaking ignited at an early age, as she began writing music in primary school and later joined the school debate team in high school. However, it wasn't until she found herself co-hosting at a campus community radio station that she truly understood the depth of her passion for the art. Fast forward six years, and what was once merely a hobby, blossomed into her dream career as a radio broadcaster and podcast host.

When Laurika isn't engaging audiences through the airwaves, she's shining as a corporate MC or enchanting crowds as a dynamic cover artist accompanied by a live band. A true all-rounder, Laurika's entrepreneurial spirit led her to venture into beauty entrepreneurship, following her proud background in hospitality and event management. Driven by her passion for media and the business facets of the industry, Laurika is currently pursuing a degree in marketing to further enrich her skill set.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Laurika finds fulfilment in her role as a devoted ‘Boy Mom’. Renowned for her quirky and effervescent personality, Laurika radiates joy and warmth wherever she goes.
