The Nedbank Cup semi-finals will be taking place this weekend, and for Kaizer Chiefs there is no pressure going into the big cup game in Durban.

The Amakhosi host the on-fire Free State Stars in the first semi-final on Saturday and they are targeting silverware.

The Chiefs’ coach, Steve Komphela, is under pressure to retain his job, however, he believes that with what the team has been through this past season, there is no pressure.

“Nothing, if there is anything to be called pressure after what we have been through, then one does not know what pressure is.

“If you ask for more, then you are asking for non-existence.

“We’ve gone past the forming, the storming and the norming.

“I think Chiefs are at the performing stage now.

“Getting results or trophies will be a more of a positive reinforcement to the players than a redemption.”

Saturday evening’s game between the Glamour Boys and Ea Lla Koto at the Moses Mabidha Stadium kicks off at 20:15.

At 15:00 on Sunday afternoon, Maritzburg United host Mamelodi Sundowns at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
