The Premier Soccer League teams received a favourable draw on Thursday evening for the Nebank Cup round of 16.
Only two of the eight matches which will see PSL teams going head-to-head, with Cape Town City FC and Orlando Pirates facing each other, and Free State Stars set to host Chippa United.
Stars book their spot in the next round with a 2-1 win over the city rivals, Super Eagles. The game was deadlocked after regulation time, and it took an extra time goal for the win.
Bloemfontein Celtic will play at home against Richards Bay, who thrashed the Bloemfontein Young Tigers 5-0 on Wednesday.
Celtic in their turn beat the defending champions SuperSport United on penalties after their matches ended 1-1 after added extra time.
The other Premier Soccer League teams that have been knocked out are Wits, Ajax Cape Town, Golden Arrows, Polokwane City en Platinum Stars.
