Chris Hani’s murderer, Janusz Walus (69), is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed by another inmate in Kgosi Mampuru Prison on Tuesday.
Walus has been behind bars since the assassination of Hani in 1993.

The Constitutional Court granted Walus parole, causing outrage from Hani’s widow as well as members of the South African Communist Party.
On Monday, the Home Affairs Department announced that Walus would stay in the country to serve his parole.
He is reported to be in a stable condition.
