Feinberg-Mngomezulu adopts sponge mentality─── MORGAN PIEK 07:02 Thu, 27 Jun 2024
“I fully understand that I'm a new boy in the system and I've got a lot of work to do and a lot of things to fix. You know with the with the people around me I'm certain that slowly but surely I'll get that right.”
The 22-year-old Springbok flyhalf, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, is geared and excited ahead of the two-Test series against Ireland in South Africa.
The youngster made his Springbok debut on the weekend during the 41-13 win against Wales at Twickenham in London.
In the Test, Feinberg-Mngomezulu, landed two conversions and a penalty for his first points in senior international rugby.
While it is still early days in his promising career, he surely looked the part and there are high expectations.

Facing Ireland in Pretoria and Durban will be a different kettle of fish to deal with, but Feinberg-Mngomezulu said for him it’s about learning as much as he can from the players that have been there, done it and got the t-shirt.
“It’s all sponge mentality is me at the moment,” said the young backline marshall.
“I fully understand that I'm a new boy in the system and I've got a lot of work to do and a lot of things to fix.
“You know with the with the people around me I'm certain that slowly but surely I'll get that right.
“Even yesterday, just when we were kicking and watching Willie le Roux and Handré Pollard kicking, you know every sort of repetition these guys get, you see and see pick up something. Whether it be Jesse Kriel in the warm -ups or Handré kicking.
“So it's an environment where there's a lot of learnings and invaluable experience. So, I'm like you said, I'm trying to just sponge as much in as possible.”
The first Test will be played next week Saturday at Loftus Versfeld.
