Top South African rugby referee, Marius Jonker, has announced his retirement from international match officiating.
Top South African rugby referee, Marius Jonker, has announced his retirement from international match officiating.
Jonker says he will, however, continue to referee in South Africa’s domestic competitions. He announced his decision this morning, following discussions with Saru’s General Manager: Referees, Andre Watson.
Jonker made his first class debut in 2003 and refereed in 24 test matches - the last of them in 2011.
