In the week before, OFM, Central South Africa’s number one commercial radio station ‘painted the airwaves’ pink with a fun Barbie Movie competition where listeners shared their special Barbie memories for a chance to win seats at the premiere.

OFM also hosted a Barbie Movie Music Day on Friday, focusing on the film’s soundtrack and listeners shared more nostalgia. One lucky listener also won a limited edition Margot Robbie Barbie doll to add to their collection on this day.

Guests came dressed to impress and the theatre was an explosion of glitter, pink and Barbie-themed outfits. OFM presenter Jaco de Waal even dyed his hair pink for the occasion!

OFM Programme Manager Tim Thabethe hails Barbie as the biggest movie release of 2023.

Almal aanboord vir die pienk Barbie fliek!

Terwyl die Barbie-fliek op Vrydag 21 Julie 2023 wêreldwyd bekendgestel is, het OFM talle luisteraars, kliënte en personeel getrakteer op ’n private vertoning daarvan in Bloemfontein.

In die voorafgaande week het OFM, Sentraal Suid-Afrika se nommer een kommersiële radiostasie, die ‘luggolwe pienk geverf’ met ’n prettige Barbie Movie-kompetisie waar luisteraars hul spesiale Barbie-herinneringe gedeel het vir ’n kans om die bekendstelling te kon ervaar.

OFM het ook Vrydag 'n Barbie-fliekmusiekdag aangebied, met die fokus op die film se klankbaan en luisteraars het meer nostalgie gedeel. Een gelukkige luisteraar het ook 'n beperkte uitgawe Margot Robbie Barbie-pop gewen op hierdie dag om by hul versameling te voeg.

Gaste het hulle behoorlik uitgedos en die teater was 'n ontploffing van blink, pienk en Barbie-tema uitrustings. OFM-aanbieder Jaco de Waal het selfs sy hare pienk gekleur vir die geleentheid!
