Tim Thabethe, OFM programme manager, says it will be an honour for OFM to be named the Best Local Radio Station again this year, knowing that Bloemfontein residents hold OFM so close to their hearts.

“Trust is something that OFM has been working hard to earn over the past 36 years. We will continue to put all our efforts into being Number 1 in Central South Africa and Number 1 in Bloemfontein, earning the confidence of our listeners and clients.”

He adds that the Best Local Radio Personality category “speaks to a person who not only represents their community but stands out as an inspiration to the people around them – a person who is present, active, liked and does the right thing. Many people both in and outside OFM qualify. The community will decide whom they are.”

Lastly, in the Best Local Radio Show category, Thabethe says he hopes OFM wins.

“It is what we work towards. But so do other radio shows. What makes ‘Best of Bloem’ credible is its reliance on the people, readers and listeners of Bloemfontein to make the decision. It is their affections and support that we work for. No matter the outcome, OFM will continue to work harder to be the Sound of Your Life.”

The public has until 12 September 2022 to vote online for their favourites in Bloemfontein at bloemfonteincourant.co.za. All they need to do is click on the ‘Best of Bloemfontein’ tab and choose ‘2022’.

They can vote in more than 70 categories, which cover a range of industries. The votes will be audited and the winners will be announced in a special supplement to Bloemfontein Courant on 27 October 2022.

Stem vir OFM in die tiende ‘Best of Bloemfontein’!

2022 is die tiende uitgawe van die Bloemfontein Courant ‘Best of Bloemfontein Readers' Choice Awards’. OFM ding in drie radiokategorieë mee, naamlik Beste Plaaslike Radiopersoonlikheid, Beste Plaaslike Radioprogram en Beste Plaaslike Radiostasie.

Tim Thabethe, OFM-programbestuurder, sê dit sal vir OFM 'n groot eer wees om vanjaar weer as die Beste Plaaslike Radiostasie aangewys te word, wetend dat Bloemfonteiners OFM so na aan die hart dra.

“Vertroue is iets wat OFM die afgelope 36 jaar hard gewerk het om te verdien. Ons sal voortgaan om pogings aan te wend om nommer 1 in Sentraal-Suid-Afrika en nommer 1 in Bloemfontein te wees, wat die vertroue van ons luisteraars en kliënte verdien.”

Hy voeg by dat die kategorie Beste Plaaslike Radiopersoonlikheid "spreek tot 'n persoon wat nie net hul gemeenskap verteenwoordig nie, maar uitstaan as 'n inspirasie vir die mense rondom hulle - 'n persoon wat teenwoordig is, aktief is, daarvan hou en die regte ding doen. Baie mense binne en buite OFM kwalifiseer. Die gemeenskap sal besluit wie hulle is.”

Laastens, oor die kategorie Beste Plaaslike Radioprogram, sê Thabethe dat hy hoop OFM sal wen.

“Dit is waarna ons streef. Maar so ook ander radioprogramme. Wat ‘Best of Bloem’ geloofwaardig maak, is die afhanklikheid op die mense, lesers en luisteraars van Bloemfontein om die besluit te neem. Dit is hul liefde en ondersteuning waarvoor ons werk. Maar, ten spyte van wat die uitkoms is nie, OFM sal voortgaan om harder te werk om die Klank van Jou Lewe te wees.”

 Die publiek het tot 12 September 2022 kans om aanlyn te stem vir hul gunstelinge in Bloemfontein by bloemfonteincourant.co.za.
