Bloemfontein is set for exciting national motocross action on the weekend with it being the third round of NR Regional Championship taking place at Tempe.

The event also serves as the pre-National and will attract many of the country’s best riders.

They will use the event to prepare for next week’s National Championship that will also be taking place in Bloemfontein.

The 11-time consecutive Free State champion, Johan Vogelesang, told OFM Sport that this week’s racing will be important.

“It's always super exciting to have the national motocross back in Bloemfontein this,” said Vogelesang.

“This weekend will see the pre-National event taking place on Saturday. This is a race where the riders come out, get themselves prepared on the track and themselves ready for the big event next week, which will be the national.

“So, bring out the family and watch best riders in South Africa go head-to-head.”

The action at the Tempe Motocross track will get underway from 9:30 on Saturday morning.
