OFM News earlier this month revealed that provincial government had signed a 99-year rent-free lease agreement with the Indian based company- Estina, in addition to an agreement to pay Estina well over a 100-million Rand in connection with the project.
According to a report in Volksblad, a portfolio committee meeting earlier in the week also ended prematurely after a DA member left in protest after the provincial agriculture HOD was allegedly exempted from answering questions about Vrede.
