The latter is usually the most prevalent one. At times we find ourselves in situations where everything we touch just falls apart, moments when it feels like the world and everyone in it have turned their backs against us. Those are the moments when you will find yourself questioning the presence and the existence of God. Excruciating painful moments when you will wish that the earth can just open and swallow you so that your misery can come to an end. Some people hold on, trudge forward and make it past such sufferings; while others, on the other hand, resort to an easy way of dealing with their problems; SUICIDE. While suicide might spare you the suffering, it creates much more suffering for your loved ones who you leave behind. They will have to painfully face each and every day without you, wondering why you had to take your life, why you had to bring such pain and suffering to them. They will blame themselves for your actions and regretfully go to sleep every night, wishing they were there to stop you from taking your life... and wish they will; as that's the only best thing they can do since well you're gone. HOPELESS SITUATION!

As a young emerging entrepreneur, I can't help it but feel the pain of my young fellow brothers and sisters who are being sidelined and sabotaged in business because they are not politically connected well enough to get work from the government. More heartbreaking is seeing matriculants not being able to pursue their dreams at tertiary institutions because they have no money to study. Seeing their dreams fade into thin air of crime, drugs, and alcoholism. Waking up every morning and not knowing where their next meal is gonna come from. Going to bed every night, hopeful that they will see a shooting star and make their wish to have manna from heaven fall into their lives. HOPELESS SITUATION!

In the Bible, we learn of Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego who were thrown into the raging fire to die. Least we forget Daniel who was thrown into the lion's den for the lions to feed on him. Oh wait; what about David, who was small in stature and one day found himself standing in front of a giant who was 10 times his body size, Goliath. What about children of Israel who were in captivity in Egypt for a long time. And then there's the sad heartbreaking depressing story of apartheid in South Africa. HOPELESS SITUATION!

All of the above HOPELESS SITUATIONS reminds me of one; that it's in the midst of a HOPELESS SITUATION that God best shows up! Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego never got burned by the fire. David defeated Goliath. The lions did not feed on Daniel. God freed the children of Israel and parted the red sea for them. Nelson Mandela became the first democratically elected President of South Africa and the first black president. Out of every single HOPELESS SITUATION you go through in life; there's something GREAT waiting to come out of it; DON'T GIVE UP until you lay your hands on the GREATNESS, GLORY, and JOY that lies at the end of that HOPELESS SITUATION! Don't give up until you see the LIGHT that's at the end of the tunnel of the problems, challenges, pain, sadness, and misery you going through right now!

Tell you what,+ for as long as you're breathing, God is not done with you!! For as long as you wake up every morning, always remember that God still has a purpose for you, so don't take your life! 

...just as the cocoon thought its life was over; it turned into a butterfly!! On that brink of giving up in that HOPELESS SITUATION you find yourself in right now, something amazing is about to happen!! Hang in there!

Today being a CHOOSEDAY; I challenge you to make a CHOICE not to GIVE UP in the midst of that HOPELESS SITUATION!
