The Free State matric class of 2016 recorded an incredible 88.2 % pass rate in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams. Free State Department of Education MEC, Tate Makgoe, was satisfied that the province improved from the previous year’s 81.6 %.
The Free State’s top achieving matric learner for 2016 is Johan Champion, from Sentraal Secondary School in Bloemfontein.
The ever dominant Eunice High School achieved the highest performance rates for Accounting and Maths.
