Thari Bus Service commuters stranded─── 16:37 Wed, 06 Jun 2018
Operations at the Thari Bus Services in the North West have come to halt as the company is currently trying to resolve internal challenges.
The services have been disrupted since the beginning of this month. This has resulted in thousands of people being stranded, even after they bought bus tickets for a month.
Commuters are angry since they now have to use other modes of transport which they did not budget for. The suspended services came as a surprise and left no room for the commuters to make alternative arrangements in order for them to reach their destinations.
There is still no specific date as to when the services will resume. The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management spokesperson, Rebaone Moeng told OFM News that they cannot say they will solve the problems at Thari Bus Services but they will definitely try to give solutions so these challenges can be sorted out.
The government is requesting the community to be patient as they intend to intervene to try and solve the internal challenges that Thari Bus Services are currently facing.
They understand that transport is expensive and that the cost is an inconvenience.
