Kgwadi emphasises importance of NWU’s academic programme─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 09:23 Tue, 11 Oct 2016
Mahikeng - Vice-Chancellor of the North West University (NWU), Dan Kgwadi, has once again emphasised the importance that teaching and learning must continue without any disruptions on its three campuses.
Kgwadi sent out a message to all students, specifically those at the Mafikeng Campus. He said the academic programme continued as normal on the Potchefstroom and the Vaal Triangle campuses yesterday, while sporadic disruptions were reported at the Mafikeng campus.
University spokesperson, Louis Jacobs, says Kgwadi has made it clear that these disruptions were caused by non-students as well as students intending to disrupt the academic year.
According to Jacobs, it was made clear by Kgwadi that it is vitally important that academic activities are sustained on the Mafikeng Campus to avoid the total loss of the academic year.
Kgwadi once again emphasised that management is committed to finding a way forward.
