“The last ride comprised of friends and family members driving their motorbikes and stance cars one last time for the memory of his life.”

The funeral service for a slain Kimberley businessman was held for the public on Tuesday (06/08) at 10:00 at the City of Hope Church, followed by a private cremation ceremony for the close family.

The CC Riders Kimberley community in collaboration with members of the stance community within Kimberley held a sendoff service for Jayson Afrique on Sunday (06/08).

Afrique was fatally shot in front of his home in Kimberley on Wednesday (31/7) while shielding his wife from the shots.


“The victim and his spouse were at the gate entering into their townhouse complex when an unknown man allegedly approached and fired several shots into the vehicle,” said Northern Cape police spokesperson Sergio Kock.

No further information about the spouse of the man who was killed in Kimberley on Wednesday (31/7) will be released, the decision was made after Jayson Afrique (28) was killed in cold blood, and no suspects have since been arrested added Kock.

The last ride comprised of friends, family members, and the public who knew Jayson driving their motorbikes and stance cars one last time through the city in memory of the life he lived and the lives he has touched.

The convoy started from the McDonald’s parking lot in the CBD and continued to their home in New Park.

“The police are requesting that the community please refrain from spreading false information on social media platforms as this harms the investigation,” said Police Spokesman Sergio Kock
