Sebokeng bishop faces multiple charges─── 07:44 Sat, 09 Dec 2023
A bishop made his first brief court appearance in the Sebokeng Regional Court on several counts.
The head of the Rivers of Living Waters Ministries, Archbishop Stephen Bafana Zondo (57), faces five counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
It is alleged he committed these offences between 2013 to 2018 in Evaton.
The case was postponed to 12 March 2024 for trial at the Sebokeng Magistrates’ Court.
Meanwhile in an unrelated matter, a trail where Zondo faces multiple counts of rape, contravention of the Sexual offences Act as well as defeating the ends of justice will resume on 19 February 2024 in the Pretoria High court.
