The ANC had only fulfilled 10 out of 20 commitments related to economic transformation.
Free State ANC supporters have showed up in their numbers at the Zuka Baloyi Stadium in Welkom, Free State, with hopes of hearing solutions to the current challenges faced in the province.
Gwede Mantashe, on behalf of the leader of the party, President Cyril Ramaphosa, will outline how far the party is with their 5-year implementation plan, which started in 2019 when they won the elections. With at least nine months left until the national elections, the party has not fulfilled the bulk of their promises made in 2019.

Ramaphosa, while addressing residents of Soweto in Gauteng, focused on what the party has not fulfilled from their list. The ANC had centered its campaign on six key pillars, among others economic transformation, social change, anti-corruption efforts, and strengthening government capacity.
The ANC had only fulfilled 10 out of 20 commitments related to economic transformation. The party also fell short on social transformation, as out of 51 commitments, only around 15 had been successfully accomplished.

Additionally, the ANC had not succeeded in eliminating the bucket toilet system, some areas still lack electricity connections for households, and their goal of increasing housing access remained unmet, with only approximately 100,000 title deeds issued in the past five years.
