Free State woman arrested for stabbing ex-boyfriend─── ZENANDE MPAME 13:38 Mon, 10 Jul 2023
Following an altercation at a pub in the Sehlajaneng Village over the weekend, the Free State police arrested a 28-year-old woman for murder after she stabbed her 22-year-old ex-boyfriend.
She is expected to appear in the Tseki Magistrate's Court on Monday afternoon for murder.
"He approached his ex-girlfriend, and they both went outside the tavern. In the street, the man allegedly stabbed her with a knife in the left shoulder. She overpowered the man, took away the knife from him, and stabbed him," says police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring.
The ex-boyfriend sustained two stab wounds on the chest and he later died in hospital.
The woman was arrested and a case of murder is being investigated.
