Cosatu holds protest march in Northern Cape─── ZENANDE MPAME 09:34 Thu, 06 Jul 2023

Trade union federation Cosatu in the Northern Cape is holding a national day of action protest march in Kuruman and Kimberley Thursday morning, to protest against rising levels of unemployment, wage cuts, poverty, inequality, crime, and corruption.
The march forms part of the nationwide protest action held by Cosatu around the country.
“We want the high unemployment rate to be addressed and decent jobs created,” says Cosatu provincial secretary Orapeleng Moraladi.
In Kimberley, members met at the Kemo open parking place and will go to the Metlife Towers Building at the intersection of Knight and Stead Streets.
In Kuruman, members are marching from the Absa parking space to the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality at 4th Federal Street at around 11:30 to hand over a memorandum.
