On the list are Ané Oosthuysen (25) from Vanderbijlpark in the Vaal Triangle, Anke Rothmann (23) from the Northern Cape, Keaoleboga Nkashe (27) from Itsoseng in North West and Levern Donnatella José (23) from Kimberley, in the Northern Cape.

The current Miss South Africa is Ndavi Nokeri, who was crowned in 2022.

José previously told OFM News that one of the biggest challenges women and young people in the country are facing is access to resources. "We live in a land of milk and honey, yet many of us still struggle with getting access to the resources that we truly need to progress in life."

Oosthuysen is a primary school teacher and four-time graduate with degrees in psychology and medical sociology. She describes herself as "a multifaceted woman with a big passion to bring about change in my community". Working with the youth has shown her that issues related to bullying and living up to expectations are so prevalent in our society today. "There is a real need to empower and educate the youth and I hope to be a vessel for change."
