Klerksdorp police discover illegal distillery in house─── 15:14 Mon, 20 Mar 2023
The police in Klerksdorp in North West discovered a distillery in a house in the Oudorp suburb just outside Klerksdorp, where various liquors, such as gins and brandies, were distilled.
The spokesperson for the police in North West, Afjee Botma, said distillery equipment, including ethonal, was found.
Explosives experts were on scene, and owing to the hazardous nature of ethanol, they advised others to leave or stand a distance away.
Sources on the scene told OFM News the house is a rented property.
Botma says the suspects have fled the scene and the police investigation continues.
