The reason for the oversight visit is aimed at strengthening oversight, public participation, and promoting accountability and transparency in government. The legislature is expected at the Tswaing Local Municipality and Ratlou Local Municipality on Wednesday 15 February 2023. 

Oversight will kick off with the Committee on Community Safety and Transport Management and Public Works and Roads, which will oversee surfaced and gravel roads, as well as the Mareetsane Police Station. 

The Committee on Premier, Finance, Cooperate Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs will have Engagements with Kgosi Phoi and Kraaipan Chiefs. 

After that, the Committee on Health and Social Development will conduct an oversight visit at the Agisanang Clinic. 

The Committee on Education, Culture, Arts, Sports and Recreation will oversee the Phakedi Secondary School, Phatsima Secondary School, Motuba Secondary School, Setlagole Library, Delarey Community Library, and Ganalaagte Library. 

The Committee on Economic Development, Environment, Tourism, Rural and Agricultural Development will oversee Disaneng Irrigation, Aquaculture, and Boitumelo Shole Cooperative. 

The Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts will conclude the day with oversights at Matloding Stadium (Logageng), Disaneng, Makgobistad and Matloding Boreholes, also at the Letsopa Multipurpose Centre.

On Thursday 16 February 2023, the Provincial Legislature is expected in the Ditsobotla Local Municipality with six committees which will conduct oversights on the state of the municipality. 

The Committee on Premier, Finance, Cooperate Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs will conduct an oversight visit to the Coligny Pump Station, Delareyville and the Bessiesvlei Waste Water Treatment Plant; the Committee on Health and Social Development will oversee Thusong Hospital, Matile Clinic, Bodibe New Clinic; the Committee on Education, Culture, Arts, Sports and Recreation will oversee the Dudfield Secondary School, Lichtenburg Library and Coligny Community Library; the Committee on Economic Development, Environment, Tourism, Rural and Agricultural Development will conduct an oversight visit to the Mafikeng Hotel School and the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality (NMMD) Crop Massification; and the Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts will oversee the Coligny Waste Landfill, Lichtenburg Waste Water Treatment Works, and the Itsoseng Waste Water Treatment Works.

On Friday 17 February 2023, the provincial legislature will visit the Mahikeng Local Municipality with seven different committees The Committee on Community Safety and Transport Management, and Public Works and Roads will oversee the Mafikeng Traffic Department, Dick Montshiwa Airport, and Disposed Government Furniture Storeroom (Public Works); the Joint Committee on Premier, Finance, Cooperative Governance, Human Settlement  and Traditional Affairs and PPAC, will conduct the oversight on Lomanyaneng Water Reserves (Old Bophelong Rd); the Committee on Health and Social Development will oversee Masutlhe 2 Clinic; the Committee on Education, Culture, Arts, Sports and Recreation will oversee the Thuto Botshelo Primary School, Sejankabo Secondary School, Dikakanyo Primary School, Mafikeng Library; the Committee on Economic Development, Environment, Tourism, Rural and Agricultural Development will oversee the Mafikeng Innovative Hub and Manyane Game Reserve; the Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts will oversee the Kgora Institute and the Mmabatho Stadium; and the Standing Committee on Legislative Review and Implementation of Resolutions of the House will conduct an oversight on the Processing of Petitions.

The oversight visits kicked off  Tuesday 14 February 2023 at the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality, whereby different committees conducted an oversight at the Zeerust Police Station, Zeerust Waste Water Treatment Plant, Groot Marico Waste Landfill, Swartkopfontein Clinic, Gothata Secondary School, Motsaalore Secondary School, Motswedi Secondary School, Kaditshwene Cultural Landscape, and Mmabana Lehurutshe.
