North West implements plans to fight GBV─── LUCKY NKUYANE 07:00 Sat, 22 Oct 2022
The North West provincial government has implemented an initiative aimed at dealing with the scourge of gender-based violence (GBV) across the province.
According to Premier Bushy Maape, each department will have two programmes in different areas focusing on GBV every month.
He says these departments will then also utilise and intensify the existing structures in departments by encouraging them to develop more campaigns on GBV.
OFM News previously reported that a 24-year-old man was arrested by the police in Schweizer-Reneke outside Bloemhof following the murder of a nursing sister in that area.
