Centlec mourns death of employee─── LUCKY NKUYANE 12:30 Sun, 11 Sep 2022
An employee of the Bloemfontein-based Mangaung Metro Municipality's power utility, Centlec, has allegedly been killed whilst at home.
According to the Centlec spokesperson, David Khanda was allegedly murdered at his home on Friday evening, 2 September 2022.
Spokesperson Lele Mamutu says they are shocked at Khanda’s murder. He says they trust that law enforcement will undertake a successful investigation and prosecution of the perpetrators.
“We learned with utmost shock, sadness and dismay of the barbaric killing of Mr David Khanda at his home. Mr Khanda was one of the Centlec employees, employed in the Intervention Section.
"We trust that the law enforcement of this country will undertake a successful investigation and prosecution of the perpetrator/s, and that those or anyone found to have committed this heinous crime is or are put behind bars,” he adds.
Mamutu adds that the office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Malefane Sekoboto, wishes to send its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Khanda, especially during these hard trying times.
