Struggle icon Rita Ndzanga to be buried today─── 07:20 Sat, 27 Aug 2022
Struggle icon Rita Alice Ndzanga will be laid to rest in Ga Mogopa village, near Ventersdorp in North West on Saturday.
She passed away last week at the age of 88.
The late struggle veteran has been accorded the Special Official Provincial Funeral Category 2, by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The body of the late struggle icon has been handed over to the North West ANC leadership at Potchefstroom.
Ndzanga was born at Ga Mogopa village near Ventersdorp, but did most of her activism in Gauteng.
Meanwhile, speaking at a memorial service for Nzanga on Thursday in Soweto, former president Thabo Mbeki said that she played a key role in the liberation of South Africa.
