The man was attacked on Sunday evening in his workshop.

A video of the man has since gone viral on social media where he can be seen fighting off the three armed robbers.

The Community Policing Forum's chairperson, Nico van Vuuren, says they were first on the scene. "We received a call that there were three guys coming onto the farm with guns. I went out and took my colleague from the CPF side, we were the first responders. When we stood there, he explained to us exactly what happened, that the suspects came into the warehouse where he was working on the floor, and they wanted to rob him," says Van Vuuren.

Van Vuuren says one of the suspects was carrying a 9mm firearm, while the other two had knives.

"He was begging for his life, but his gun was on the table, and he went to the side where his firearm was lying, he got hold of his firearm and there was shooting, where he was shooting the perpetrators and they just started running. One of the suspects was wounded," says Van Vuuren.
