Streets of Mangaung expected to be painted red─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 10:20 Fri, 29 Jul 2022
Streets of Mangaung are expected to be painted red ahead of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) 9th Anniversary at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Saturday.
Supporters of the EFF are expected to gather in their numbers at Saturday’s event. Building up to the 9th Anniversary, members of the party addressed and invited residents of the troubled metro to the event.
Earlier this week, the Commander in Chief and the EFF President, Julius Malema, visited the Boikhucho Old Age Home in Mangaung and addressed the elderly, whilst the Deputy President of the party, Floyd Shivambu, addressed students at the University of the Free State (UFS) at the EFF 9th Anniversary Lecture, held at the Rag Farm within the premises of the institution, building up to tomorrow’s celebration.
Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Malema as he is expected to address EFF supporters at the stadium on Saturday. Some of the things that he is expected to touch on are the struggles, resilience, and growth of the party since its existence nine years ago.

In his last visit to the metro, Malema had lashed out at Mangaung councillors, citing that it is not an excuse for the newly appointed councillors that they’re still new in their seats and have not had time to deliver services. This was after inspecting sites that suffered severe sewage spillages. Malema had also vowed to put pressure on the ruling party in the metro because of service delivery issues.
