The ruling party in the province began with the first Letsema campaign clean up this past Friday in four different regions: Thabo Mofutsanyane; Fezile Dabi; Xhariep and Lejweleputswa.
Spokesperson for the provincial ANC, Oupa Khoabane, explained Provincial Convener, Mxolisi Dukwana; Provincial Coordinator, Paseka Nompondo and Head of Elections, William Bulwane were present at the clean-ups, where they and their teams were responsible for cleaning up the streets, tree planting, meeting with labour and fixing potholes.
The nationwide campaign was launched by ANC’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, last month in the party’s birthplace, Bloemfontein. He explained the aim of the campaign to clean up the streets, and build a better community. The provincial ANC will continue with the clean-ups every Friday - with the motive to address challenges faced by communities and restore the state of the province to former glory.

Nompondo who was at ward 5 in Koffiefontein in the Letsemeng Local Municipality, cleaned up the Ismael Reit Community Hall, and also had a meeting with stakeholders on retrenchments of mine workers.
Bulwane assisted in fixing the potholes, and also had a meeting with traffic officers, SAPS Members, correctional service workers, healthcare workers, domestic workers, and members of SAMWU at Constantia hall.
