Zastron school tragedy - families finally meet─── 14:52 Mon, 09 May 2022
The family of the murdered Zastron learner, the late Tshepo Chabedi, tells OFM News that they are grateful to have finally met with the family of the perpetrator.
Selloane Maane, who has been speaking on behalf of the Chabedi family, explains that on Sunday the family they had been anticipating to meet, came forward.
Maane says they did not meet with the parents of the perpetrator as they are not in Zastron, but they sent representatives from their family to extend their condolences to the bereaved family. She further explains that the family offered them a cow to assist with funeral expenses, as they do not have much to afford but have livestock.
She further explained that there is no negativity between the two families, and that the Chabedi family is thankful that the other family showed remorse on behalf of their son. She further explained that they appreciate the cow given to them, as it will help greatly with funeral costs and preparations.
