Two more people have lost their lives on the deadly R30 road outside Allanridge in the Free State.
This comes after the vehicle they were in - a navy blue Mazda with Lesotho registration number plates - ended up submerged in a body of water located along the road on Friday evening.
Free State police spokesperson, Stephen Thakeng, tells OFM News that the bodies are that of a man and a woman. The deceased are yet to be identified and an inquest has been registered for further investigation.

According to Welkom-based emergency medical services – 1Life911 – the incident in fact involved two vehicles.
Whilst the occupants of the Mazda lost their lives, the three people in the first vehicle managed to escape from drowning.
The R30 was temporarily closed down on Friday night as rescue services and police divers searched for the Mazda.

The road has since been re-opened for traffic.
Thakeng warns motorists to reduce their speed when they arrive at the R30, especially between Allanridge and Bothaville, as it was recently flooded after heavy rains.
The flooding on this road gained national attention when an Intercape passenger liner ended up trapped in the same body of water mentioned above. Whilst over 80 passengers were successfully rescued, police charged the driver of the bus with a reckless and negligent driving charge for ignoring warning signs that indicated that the road could not be travelled on.
However, even though the part gravel road has been reinforced, it remains dangerous, with several accidents reported each weekend.
