Woman to appear in court for alleged #GBV murder─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 08:42 Tue, 15 Mar 2022
A woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death is set to appear before the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
According to the Free State Police’s spokesperson, Thabo Covane, a witness said the woman and her deceased boyfriend were arguing over a WhatsApp conversation between him and another girlfriend at Lusaka Square, Bloemfontein. The witness explained the suspect became violent, in response the deceased took her out of the room and locked himself in. The suspect allegedly got hold of a knife, forcefully gained entrance into the room through a back window, and attacked the victim.
Covane stated the witness forcefully opened the door and discovered that the victim was lying motionless on the floor with a stab wound on the left side of his neck. The paramedics and the police were then summoned to the scene and the boyfriend was declared dead.
