MCC: 'Dissolve Mangaung council'─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 09:03 Tue, 01 Mar 2022
The Mangaung pressure group, the Mangaung Concerned Community, is calling for the removal of the whole council of the metro.
The spokesperson of the Mangaung Concerned Community (MCC), Themba Zweni, requested the removal of the metro council members. He was speaking with the Free State MEC for Cooperative Governance, Mxolisi Dukwana, addressing community issues outside the Dr Petrus Molemela Indoor Sports Center in Bloemfontein after the Free State State of the Province Address (Sopa) on Monday. He says members of the council are busy fighting for positions instead of fighting for issues that will serve community members, such as service delivery. Zweni said that the current council does not serve the residents and this will be on Tuesday's agenda.

Meanwhile, Dukwana is expected to meet with MCC representatives on Tuesday at 11am, to discuss a way forward on lingering issues of service delivery and unemployment. Dukwana requested members of the MCC to come up with solutions so that they work hand in hand to address issues of residents.
