PP visits Free State─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 06:52 Mon, 14 Feb 2022
The Public Protector (PP) will pay the Free State a two-day visit with the aim to promote quality service delivery and good governance.
According to PP’s spokesperson, Oupa Segalwe, they are looking into strengthening ties and fostering collaboration and cooperation with organs of state. These include provincial legislatures, government departments, municipalities and traditional authorities.
PP Busisiwe Mkhwebane and Deputy Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka will hold the first meeting on Monday in Bloemfontein with the Provincial Legislature Speaker, Ntombizanele Sifuba - alongside the Executive Council and senior government officials. The second meeting will be with the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders.
On Tuesday, Mkhwebane and Gcaleka will be making their last stop in Harrismith, where they will be meeting with the Makholokoe Traditional Council. The last stop in Harrismith will be an inspection of service delivery.
