#LoadShedding leads to water interruption in FS─── 07:25 Tue, 12 Oct 2021
The local municipality of Dihlabeng in the Free State is under pressure due to load-shedding implemented by Eskom, which lead to the closure of the water supply.
According to the municipal spokesperson, Tsediso Maitse, the municipality was on Monday forced to close the water supply earlier than the communicated time of 18:00.
"We're requesting that all residents give urgent attention to this matter. We request that all members of the community start immediately using water more sparingly".
The municipal reservoir levels have dropped to below 5%. As a result, most of the residents have experienced water pressure problems or do not have water supply at all. Maitse says the municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused.
