The Bloemfontein-based Mangaung Metro Municipality's power utility, Centlec, has implemented emergency power outages across Bloemfontein.
Centlec spokesperson, Lele Mamatu, confirms to OFM News that the Metro's power utility has implemented power interruptions to connect a new transformer at Centlec's Distribution Centre.
He says the estimated restoration time of power should be two hours.
Mamatu says affected areas include Hamilton, Erhlichpark, Chris Hani, Turflaagte, Freedom, Namibia, Rocklands, Kagisanong, JB Mafura and MK.
On Saturday, Centlec again experienced the loss of power supply at the Botshabelo Substation A and at Substation K's feeder which had experienced a trip.
Following the trip at these substations, few areas including Blok K, -W, -U, -R, -S, -T, were affected. Power was restored after two hours.
